How far can your career go when the software you are creating is integrated with businesses such as CBA, Macquarie Group, Rabobank or HSBC?

You will be working on advanced decision making tools powered by AI and Analytics technologies that help in assessing profit margin, risk and return for large business deals. Building a highly scalable, high traffic platform and working with a large pool of data and insights, you will be detail orientated. The software you are working on is continually to shape the banking industry and you'll be developing software that's driven by AI using real-time data, there is nothing quite like it in the market.

You may also be stuck on working in an on-prem environment, but would like to transition to a cloud focused role utilising microservices and .NET Corebut, but don’t know how? Well, you’ve come to the right role.

What does the business look like?

They are an Australian FinTech business working on that is used in the banking and wealth management domain. There are 70 people, ranging from software engineers, pricing & analytics specialists, QA engineers, Data Scientists, sales and operations. Majority of their staff are based in Sydney.

They are well off financially; they’ve been operating since 2004 and have a stable portfolio of household names as their clients. Their product is into their fourth generation. On top of this they have partnerships with University of Sydney’s Data Science and AI department and Australia's top four banks that will provide long term work for years to come.

They type of technologies that are used in their state of the art decision making tools (powered by AI and real-time analytics), that includes pricing analysis, risk assessment, and Forecasting Tools. These types of projects are rarely developed in-house in Australia by themselves...imagine working in an environment that involved ALL of them?

Their R&D is done in Sydney. They have a large budget for these projects as they are in an innovative industry, to stay in an innovative industry they have to invest in new development, so you know you will always be in front of the trend.

What experience should I have?

You may be someone who has been in the industry for 5 years, and have played an influential part in projects however have not been given responsibility and this is something you are craving. You will be given this role.

You may be someone with more experience and delivered a couple of successful products to market, however you haven’t been given enough R&D budgets to support your creativity.

You may be stuck in an on-prem environment and don’t know how to make a switch to a cloud centric environment.

You’re either a Back-End or Full-Stack Developer. Your language of choice is C# and you’ll be a specialist in ASP.NET Core and EF Core. You have strong knowledge of OO fundamentals, SOLID Design Principles and embrace good coding standards. You understand Angular (or another modern front-end framework) for Front-End tasks. Overall you are someone who is passionate about building highly resilient platforms and likes working with data. Challenge is your need.
