Job description

The purpose of this role is to deliver high quality, evidence-based occupational therapy services across the continuum of care to patients and families of STARS, as part of an interprofessional, collaborative team.

About you

  • Clinical Expertise: Demonstrated high level of knowledge, skills and expertise in occupational therapy rehabilitation clinical practice.
  • Communication/Team participation: Demonstrated ability to communicate and participate effectively in the occupational therapy and interprofessional teams, including the ability to provide high level clinical advice to supervisors, key service managers and stakeholders and with an ability to address and manage conflict.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated ability to provide supervision, training and support to less experienced practitioners and students.
  • Quality improvement: Demonstrated ability to initiate, plan and evaluate local service improvement initiatives through continuous quality improvement or research projects, enhancing outcomes for consumers of STARS in line with Queensland Health directions.
