About the Recycling Manager role:
Reporting directly to the MRF & Compliance Manager, this role will be critical in collaborating across the organisation to integrate recycling and waste reduction into broader sustainability initiatives and exploring ways to reduce waste generation and promote circular economy principles.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring the effective processing of materials recovered by being the first point of contact for operational queries;
- Evaluating recovery amount claims and audits in line with requirements;
- Managing new and ongoing relationships with key recycling stakeholders to influence environmentally focussed outcomes;
- Working as part of the function to utilise data and analysis to inform reporting and future decisions on recycling;
- Implementing a continuous improvement approach to process and cost reduction; and
- Engaging with external stakeholders on areas of waste, processing, quality and commercials.
Who are we looking for?

You will be a values driven and respectful team player with excellent communication skills and the ability the excel in a cooperative and collaborative team environment. You will possess:
- Experience operating in a Recycling, Waste, Industrial Manufacturing or an Engineering business with a focus on environmentally sustainable outcomes and the circular economy;
- An Environmental Engineering, Sustainability, Business or similar degree with a passion for practices that reduce the environmental footprint;
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders;
- Strong data analysis skills with the ability to problem solve, conduct reporting and undertake audits; and
- Understanding or experience conducting waste characterisation audits will be favourable.
