About the role

We are currently seeking a Senior Office Administrator (receptionist) to join our rail operations hub based out of Seven Hills, NSW.

This permanent role offers great career prospects with a privately-owned tier 1 constructor and international engineering enterprise.

Key responsibilities

  • Greeting visitors & maintain meeting schedules.
  • Prepare for site inductions & support project administration. Assisting with onboarding of new personnel, arrange computers, phones etc.
  • Provide support to the site administrators and the finance teams with any administration requirements, whilst at all times adhering to Laing O'Rourke's safety policies & procedures.
  • Be responsible for monitoring and ordering of day-to-day office supplies.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen area as well as maintaining safety and hygiene standards of the reception area
  • Coordinating internal and external events and perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, transcribing and faxing.
  • Maintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk (monitor logbook, issue visitor badges)
  • Assist with travel/ accommodation booking for SLT member and fire warden, assist with drills etc.
  • Monitor / arrange re-calibration for breath testing units and support stores/CM with ordering and distribution of PPE as per EA
  • Be point of liaison for any site-based maintenance, eg repair coffee machine / photocopier, plumbing repair, etc

About you

  • 2 years administration and invoicing experience, ideally within construction
  • Intermediate or higher skills in Microsoft Office – Outlook, Excel and Word.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage your own time
  • A team-centred attitude and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Uses clear and effective verbal communications skills.
  • Experience and understanding of straightforward procedures or systems.
