An exciting opportunity currently exists for an experienced Senior Operations Manager - Datacentre & Cloud (Asia, Oceania & Africa) to join our Regional IT team based in Rhodes, Sydney. This role is accountable for the continuous value delivery of the Datacentre and Cloud Platforms. Will oversee sustain, deployment, retirement and leverage and ensures the effective and efficient operational support of all platforms in scope.
This role is responsible to provide secure reliable Infrastructure Platforms both on premise and in the Cloud. Following the ‘follow the sun’ principle, during their shift, this role will hold the accountability for all services across IS/IT worldwide within product and platform groups in scope.

Reporting to the Senior Platforms Group Manager, key responsibilities of the role include:
Contribute to IT Strategy:
Leads the development of operational aspects for a set of products and ensures their end-to-end integration and value delivery within the broader IS/IT landscape.
Contributes to the annual operating and capital expenditure budget of the product/platform groups.
Operational Effectiveness and Efficiency:
Continuous improvement in effectiveness and efficiency of operational support.
Support the IS/IT Performance Management in analysing product/platform usage.
Provides technical escalation support for specialists and Nestlé suppliers to ensure service level objectives are met.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Work with product teams including partners to ensure good coordination of product changes.
Builds and maintains relationships with product team leaders to develop a clear understanding of product strategy, product value delivery planning and of business needs.
Provide timely updates and information to IS/IT Consumers/stakeholders on platform issues and maintenance windows.
Security, Compliance & Risk Management:
Report identified risks and issues within scope to the Product/Platform Manager.
Ensure Platforms in Region are Secure and Compliant as defined by Platform and Nestle IT Standards.
Participate in Audits ensuring all Audit items are captured and remediated.
Leadership:
Foster a business-oriented culture and mindset driven by continual service improvement techniques.
Provide leadership, coaching and direction to the peers as part of the operations community.

What will make you successful
Joining a collaborative team of Specialists, you will be a strong leader with a history of delivering results in a high pressure and dynamic environment.
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science/ Information Systems/ Business Administration or related field, or equivalent work experience.
12+ years of experience in IS/IT, thereof 7+ years in IS/IT Operations.
Experience in effectively managing cross-functional teams, influencing key stakeholders, across the organization and within complex contexts.
Experience in service management principles and execution.
Experience in explaining technical concepts and technologies.
Demonstrated experience in establishing standard processes and managing performance to achieve key metrics.
Preferably proven experience or demonstrated capability in leading IT operations teams in complex and dynamic environments requiring 24/7 support.
Experience in budget planning and financial management.
Experience with effective communication at different levels in the organization and working with multicultural teams.
Experience working in a diverse global environment and with virtual teams.
With stakeholders based in various time zones, flexibility is essential as you participate in teleconferences and activities outside of standard business hours.
