We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior or Associate Acoustic Consultant to join our growing Queensland team, focussing on Environmental and Transportation Noise and Vibration. We are open to hosting this role from either of our Brisbane, Sunshine Coast, or Gold Coast offices and are committed to all modern flexible and remote working arrangements.

Your new role, what's involved?
We have some exciting projects for you to work on, including:
- The largest and most complex transportation (road and rail) infrastructure projects, to transform cities whilst connecting our country.
- Renewable power generation (wind, solar) and transmission, as well as Battery Energy Storage Systems on the scale of towns and cities, to enable the renewable transition.
- Advisory roles for major projects at civilian airports, defence airfields and working with unmanned aerial vehicles (drones).
More specifically, this role will see you responsible for:
- Collaboratively working within WSP's multidisciplinary teams, leading and delivering major projects within our strong and secured national project pipeline.
- Discipline lead roles on environmental acoustics and vibration investigations, including noise and vibration impact assessments, monitoring, site inspections, mitigation and management.
- Building and managing relationships with internal and external clients.
- Completing noise predictions using specialised acoustic models and software and analysing and processing data.
- Preparing technical reports for review.
- Coaching and mentoring junior staff, building leadership opportunities.
- Open and ongoing opportunities to support the largest and most complex building acoustics projects in Australia, if that is what drives you.
To be successful in this role, you will have some experience in the following:
- Demonstrated experience leading medium-sized projects with the ambition to lead large projects.
- Coordination of noise and vibration fieldwork and contributing to a safe working environment.
- Previous experience applying acoustics legislation, standards and guidelines. AAS membership. Ideally, RPEQ or equivalent engineering registration.
- Experience delivering best-for-client outcomes to save costs and time or add value.
- Experience in the use of various acoustic software (SoundPlan, CadnaA), proficiency with geospatial and mapping software (Esri ArcGIS, QGIS, AutoCAD).
- Experience providing key technical expertise across a range of project types.
