The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Senior Payroll and Reporting Advisor to support the NFSA by providing support to our external payroll provider, data analysis and reporting and to provide advice to the NFSA. You will have excellent coordination skills, experience across technical payroll and reporting functions and strong communication skills. The People and Culture team delivers all elements of human resources to the NFSA including, but not limited to, payroll, learning and development, WHS, wellbeing, recruitment, performance management and HR reporting.
Reporting to the Manager, Payroll Systems and Reporting and under limited direction, our ideal candidate will have experience in administering complex payroll systems and functions and will oversee:
- Payroll coordination
- Mandatory APS and internal reporting.
- Metrics and data analysis
- Terms and Conditions of employment advice
- Policy development and management
Selection Criteria
In relation to the ‘Job Details’ listed above, concisely demonstrate your skills, experience and achievements against each of the following areas:
- Have a broad understanding of technical APS HR with experience in the administration of complex payroll systems and functions, and reporting.
- Sound knowledge of employment legislation, including with respect to superannuation, workers compensation, long service leave, parental leave.
- Proven ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, prioritise activities and see projects through to completion whilst managing client expectations.
- Be highly organised with excellent communication skills, attention to detail and accuracy, with a high service orientation and focus.
- Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
- Collaborative team player with a positive outlook who contributes to achieving HR outcomes in a small and dynamic team.
- Strong technical experience in APS HR
- Experience in Payroll or the Aurion software
- APS and internal reporting
Eligibility
To be eligible for this position you must:
- Be an Australian Citizen.
- Satisfactorily complete an Australian Federal Police National Police Check; and
- Obtain and maintain an Australian Government Baseline Security Clearance.
