About the Role:
Our client is seeking for a Senior Pega Developer / System Architect to be part of an award-winning multi-year initiative to modernise the agency's core business systems.
This is a senior level role for highly experienced web developers and may be performed fully remotely.
At this agency you will play an important role in the Patents Modernisation Initiative which is at the forefront of digital transformation following true agile and DevOps approaches to deliver outcomes for the business.
This role will work within multi-discipline delivery teams to develop the Pega components of a modern web application system supporting the processing of Patents applications.
Key Responsibilities:
Under the direction of the Delivery Manager, Solution Architect and Technical Lead, you will:
Design, develop and deploy Pega business process management (BPM) software that provides IP Rights processing capabilities for IP Australia's workforce.
Work with Business Analysts and End Users to translate agile user stories and acceptance criteria into technical designs for iterative implementation and deployment.
Integrate Pega software with a modern web application, web services and databases (such as Vue.js, MuleSoft and Oracle/Postgres databases).
Troubleshoot application issues, coding bugs, and bottlenecks.
Document work performed including design and as-built specifications, and contribute to knowledge management practices.
Collaborate and mentor team members to promote team harmony and support cross-skilling professional development,
Work with the delivery manager and team to support an agile delivery model, and
Work with stakeholders to deliver stable and secure software and environments, that align to IP Australia's reference architecture.
Maintaining an awareness of Work Health and Safety (WH&S) responsibilities and a commitment to maintaining a healthy and safe workplace.
Undertake additional duties as required.
Skills and Experience:
Essential criteria
Demonstrated experience over multiple years in the design, development and deployment of enterprise-level Pega applications
Demonstrated experience integrating Pega software with web services, business databases, and/or a modern web application
Desirable criteria
Experience in - Jenkins / Xebia / Digital.ai - Containerisation (OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker) - AWS - MuleSoft
Experience working with data storage technologies such as NoSQL Elastic Search, RDBMS PostgreSQL and Oracle
Eligibility/Other Requirements:
To be eligible for employment for this role, you must be an Australian citizen. Be able to obtain a BASELINE security clearance.
