Due to an increased demand within our business, SYPAQ are seeking multiple resources for a large Defence project based in Canberra. The roles we are hiring for are Capability Integration Development Manager, Capability Development Lead and Capability Architect. These are contract opportunities with a potential start in July and contracts of 12 months plus 12 months extension.
The Capability Development and Integration Manager
The Capability Development and Integration Manager identifies, analyses, traces and prioritises the capability needs for the integrated force. This includes responsibilities to manage the needs and relevant stakeholder engagement across derived requirements, risk reduction, engineering methods and systems architectures.
Roles and responsibilities:
- Manage the identification, analysis, traceability and prioritisation of WNA capability needs, constraints, gaps and opportunities for the integration force.
- Conduct stakeholder engagement to elicit and validate the derivation of needs with key stakeholders including operational users, Force Design, Force Integration, other capability programs and delivery agencies.
- Manage the CM assurance of Delivery Group artefacts associated with Function & Performance Specification, engineering management, Risk Reduction and systems architecture descriptions.
- Provide technical advice for requirements management, trade-off analysis, engineering practice, test & evaluation, risk reduction, FIC integration and product realisation against target states. Support development & maintenance of the WNA capability definition documentation including the OCD and JNCS.
The Capability Realisation Lead provides senior technical and capability advice for capability target state definition and realisation, capability integration, provisioning, and introduction into service prioritisation. This includes responsibilities for interfacing with Delivery Groups and Service and Operational Stakeholders to prioritise and manage realisation and provisioning requirements. The Realisation Manager also leads the Facilities work stream for the Capability Manager inclusive of managing interface with the Delivery Group and guiding and progressing the Facilities Detailed Business Case for approval and implementation post approval.
Roles and responsibilities:
- Lead the provision and co-ordination of senior technical and capability advice for capability target state definition and realisation, capability integration, provisioning, and introduction into service prioritisation.
- Lead development and maintenance of WNA Capability Realisation Planning, including definition of and measurement in the progress to achieve capability target states, aligned to operational user needs and requirements and WNA operational risk assessment, including definition of and measurement in the progress to achieve capability target states.
- Lead capability and development of WNA Capability Force Element Provisioning target states and phases including interface into operational HQ (HQ JOC and HQ 1 DIV/DJFHQ), including alignment with major exercises and activities.
- Lead the provision and co-ordination of senior technical and capability advice for the execution of Capability Manager accountabilities for the development and Facilities Detailed Business Case for approval and post approval and implementation, and lead WNA Facilities interface with Delivery Agencies.
The Capability Development Lead
The WNA The Capability Development Lead provides senior technical and capability advice for major systems development, capability integration, the systems engineering process, design reviews, innovation activities and industry engagements. This includes responsibilities to manage the needs and relevant stakeholder engagement across derived requirements, risk reduction, engineering methods and systems architectures.
Roles and responsibilities:
- Lead the provision and co-ordination of technical advice for major systems development, engineering reviews, innovation activities and industry engagements.
- Lead the identification, analysis, traceability and prioritisation of WNA capability needs, constraints, gaps and opportunities for the integration force.
- Provide senior technical leadership for CM assurance of Delivery Group artefacts associated with Function & Performance Specification, engineering management, Risk Reduction and systems architecture descriptions.
- Provide senior technical advice for requirements management, trade-off analysis, engineering practice, test & evaluation, risk reduction, FIC integration and product realisation against target states.
- Lead the development & maintenance of the WNA Needs artefacts including the OCD and JNCS.
