About the role 

It?s an exciting time to join the People and Culture (P&C) function at NESA. We are in a period of growth, transforming our operating model and service offerings to enable exceptional business outcomes. In addition to enhancing delivery of core operational services and pursuing new enabling technology solutions, the People and Culture team is responsible for designing and delivering an exciting agenda of strategic people priorities and programs.?? 

Reporting to the Manager People Partnering and Wellbeing, the Senior P&C Business Partner manages a team to deliver effective People and Culture and workforce management guidance and services across NESA. This is an excellent opportunity to shape and deliver proactive partnering services to diverse business areas, work with leaders and teams to understand workforce challenges and opportunities and recommend solutions, promote a focus on people priorities, and deliver consistent, high-quality advice, and services which improve workforce management practices and build organisational capability.?? 

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to:? 

  • Deliver a broad range of workforce consulting services and advice to leaders and teams, identify risks and opportunities and recommend practical solutions in line with good practice and the government employment framework 
  • Establish strong relationships across NESA to understand business challenges and needs, provide pragmatic advice and coaching and establish the P&C partnering function as a trusted partner 
  • Deliver people programs and initiatives to uplift people management capability and drive a positive workplace culture 
  • Oversee and deliver effective case-management across the full range of employment matters and apply sound judgement, empathy and discretion to successfully manage sensitive and complex issues to resolution 
  • Successfully implement organisational change and manage workforce mobility and redeployment activities 
  • Partner with other P&C colleagues to enable joined-up and consistent service delivery of integrated solutions and lead continuous improvement projects, including workforce programs, policy initiatives, and cyclical workforce activities 
  • Manage team members, allocate work, coach, mentor, motivate and support their professional development and role model the highest professional standards 
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of relevant government legislation, policy obligations, industry trends and practices and provide compliant advice and services 

About you? 

To be successful, you will need:? 

  • Significant experience in the delivery of people partnering advice and services across the full employee lifecycle at a whole-of-organisation level and in complex settings? 
  • Demonstrated experience in successfully developing and maintaining strong relationships of trust and credibility with stakeholders? 
  • A high degree of energy and resilience; someone who will relish the opportunity to lead and drive change 
  • An ability to work with discretion, apply sound judgement, and empathy to manage sensitive and complex issues and provide expert support
