This Senior Pharmacist position is responsible for the provision of a broad range of high-quality clinical pharmacy services within the emergency department at Ipswich Hospital. The position functions with a high degree of independence within the multi-disciplinary team, providing clinical intervention and advice, workflow organisation and service development. This role offers the successful applicant an opportunity to be an integral part of a dynamic, progressive team rapidly expanding to incorporate the challenges and opportunities within the digital landscape.

About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
High level knowledge, expertise and skills in contemporary clinical pharmacy practice and knowledge of hospital pharmacy service delivery.
Demonstrated ability to initiate, plan and evaluate local service improvement and provide clinical supervision to personnel. History of working effectively with other people as a member of a team to achieve shared goals and advocate for best pharmaceutical practise.
Ability to develop, lead and supervise projects and audits that support pharmacy service objectives.
Ability to actively participate in the development, implementation, review and maintenance of internal systems, processes, and work practices, related to service improvement in the Emergency Department
Mandatory Requirements:
Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration or membership with the appropriate registration authority or association within Australia. Certified copies of the required information must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/manager, prior to the commencement of clinical duties
