- Provide a high level of professional, client focused pharmacy service within an evidence-based, quality and multidisciplinary health care environment.
- Promote and exhibit positive leadership for clinical pharmacy services on a casual basis, at Ingham Hospital and/ or Ayr Hospital and/or Charters Towers Hospital and/or Joyce Palmer Health Service. Additionally, this position may deliver services to Home Hill, Magnetic Island, Hughenden and Richmond health facilities.
- High level of knowledge, expertise and skill in Clinical Pharmacy.
- An ability to provide general clinical advice to professional and operational supervisors, regarding service delivery and improvement opportunities.
- An ability to work collaboratively and effectively within a multidisciplinary team and with patients / clients / carers to support the continuum of care
- An ability to adapt, be flexible and apply independent judgement, time management and prioritisation skills in a dynamic clinical setting.
- An ability to provide Clinical Pharmacy services of a complex nature, where established principles, procedures and methods require some expansion, adaptation or modification.
- An ability to initiate, plan and evaluate local service improvement initiatives and provide clinical supervision to Pharmacy
- Proof of qualification (Bachelor of Pharmacy) and registration or membership (if applicable) with the appropriate registration authority or association.
- This is a Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) risk role: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and Pertussis.
- Travel by light aircraft and or road within the Townsville Hospital and Health Service may be necessary to fulfil the requirements of the role.
- Possession of class C drivers' licence.
- Probation period may apply.
