Senior Pharmacy Assistant/Dispensary Technician

Part-time/Full-time Pharmacy Technician

Due to growth in our packing and dispensing business, we are seeking a passionate Dispensary Technician to join our team at Amcal Findlay & Weymouth Pharmacy Sale on a part-time or full-time basis.

What’s required to be a Pharmacy Technician in this role?

• Good communication skills and an ability to execute very good customer service on a consistent basis.
• Manage and develop relationships with multiple stakeholders, including aged care facility staff, GPs and customers.
• Manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment whilst maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
• Be able to work as part of a team to reach common goals.
• Prior Community Pharmacy experience is desirable.

In this role, you will be primarily in the dispensary and Dose Administration Aid packing (blister/sachet) areas. 

Responsibilities including, but not limited to:

• Schedule packing and dispensing of DAAs both manual blister packing and automated through sachet robot.
• Dispense prescriptions to fill DAAs and reconcile prescriptions received.
• Manage orders and changes from Residential Aged Care facilities (RACFs)
• Assist in preparing prescriptions in a timely, efficient, and accurate manner.
• Performance of dispensary related administrative tasks as directed.
