Access the
Physiotherapy outpatients service is a multiple campus service across Sunshine Coast University Hospital, Nambour General Hospital and Gympie Hospital. The Physiotherapy Outpatients service provides acute and subacute care for musculoskeletal related referrals from external providers, SCHHS medical specialities and other Hospital and Health services across areas including surgical and medical.
Physiotherapist clinicians within SCHHS Allied Health Service Delivery Model (AH-SDM) work as a team to meet clinical demand in keeping with Clinical Prioritisation Document. Staff will be required to work across other clinical services and facilities within SCHHS as required to assist in meeting patient care needs, managing leave cover, and succession planning of staff. Staff may be required to rotate across SCHHS as per Allied Health Rotation Guidelines.
Key responsibilites include:
- Provide leadership oversight and clinical practice supervision to less experienced physiotherapy practitioners and students as delegated.
- Adhere to relevant expectations outlined in the SCHHS and Allied Health Governance Framework documents and Business Rules to ensure that best patient outcomes are achieved in a transparent, ethical and accountable manner.
- Communicate effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team to influence the culture towards a common, patient-centred vision and direction.
