Senior Placement Coordinator - Shepparton, Wodonga Or Wangaratta

THE ROLE
The time limited Senior Placement Coordinator position has been created as a direct support for the Central Highlands Area and is one of three, time limited positions in West Division.
The Placement and Support Planning teams manage placement referrals for children and young people in need of a care services placement in the funded service system.
The role has a dedicated focus on leading and driving planning activities for children and young people in contingency arrangements, to support children and young people to return home or move into safe and stable funded placements. This will include planning and coordinating responses for care services for statutory Child Protection clients in line with the Best Interests Practice Framework, provide monitoring and support to existing placements to ensure optimum placement planning.
ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE

• Manage the allocation of resources within and the outputs required of the work area to achieve service delivery goals and expectations.
• Negotiate, plan and manage the delivery of placement coordination for child protection clients, meeting individual client needs and program objectives within budget allocations and timelines.
• Liaise and work in partnership with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate the resolution of complex client and placement issues.
