About the team
As part of the broader Industry team, our WIL (Work Integrated Learning) team facilitates internship opportunities for various Monash University faculties, including Arts, Business, and STEM. Through our extensive network of industry partners and engagement with the broader university, we are able to foster and support graduates to successfully transition from formal education into a professional career.
About You
You will be experienced in facilitating end to end recruitment or placement opportunities. You value and nurture student or customer relationships and are proactive in sourcing and partnering with new host organisations or clients.
You will have strong planning and organisational skills with the ability to meet tight targets and deadlines.
The role will be best suited for someone who is self-motivated, solutions-driven, with the ability to source new host organisation opportunities.
As the successful candidate, you will have experience in:
- Business development/industry engagement experience with a strong ability to establish new relationships and networks (you will have a strong focus on expanding our client base and establishing relationships with new host companies)
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills with the ability to develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders (including strong presentation skills with the ability to lead discussions regarding placements with university and industry stakeholders)
- Ability to contribute to continuous improvement processes by raising opportunities and solutions with the team.
- Ability to develop and apply knowledge of relevant policies, practices and standards to organise and prioritise work, while using judgement to solve problems arising in own work area
- Ability to navigate across multiple systems and platforms
