This exclusive Senior Planner opportunity will allow the successful candidate to join a strong local government planning team working in their centrally located offices. You will be encouraged and supported by their switched-on multidisciplinary team in this well-regarded permanent opportunity.
Your new role
With no signs of development slowing in the area, and a large increase in development applications, the team are looking to bring on an experienced Senior DA Planner to assist with a range of complex applications including but not limited to town centre and mixed-use developments. Key duties will include but not be limited to:
- Attend and provide advice at various local and regional planning panel meetings.
- Liaise with and provide knowledge-based advice to senior staff.
- Preparation of reports as required for land and environmental court proceedings.
- Take a proactive approach to further development of current processes.
- Assist the team to help process applications accurately and within a designated timeframe.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have previous experience of Development Assessment in a NSW Local Government Authority or State Government, as well as a tertiary qualification in Planning or related field. A minimum of 3 years NSW Planning experience is required. You will be involved in discussions with the public therefore you must be able to negotiate solutions to complex and sensitive matters.
