The Opportunity
An experienced planner to join our Maritime Planning team in Fremantle.
As our Senior Planning Project Officer you will undertake the strategic and facility master planning for small craft maritime facilities around the state. You will undertake research, investigation, and feasibility studies into current and future needs for small maritime facilities; manage projects for new developments and upgrades to existing facilities; and consult with and provide advice to internal and external stakeholders on maritime developments. You will also lead statutory planning processes for maritime precincts and prepare planning policies and instruments to guide land use and development in these locations.

About you
- Demonstrate extensive experience in a planning or urban design experience (or has a degree in Urban and Regional Studies).
- Experience delivering strategic planning and informing projects for complex and/or waterfront precincts.
- Assess public works and maritime development proposals.
- Develop consultant briefs and manage contracts.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Communicate and influence at a senior level with a range of stakeholders including industry and government bodies.
