Key Outcomes and Accountabilities
The aim of this role is to:
- Undertake protracted and complex investigations and audits, including:
- Reviewing of available intelligence and complaint information;
- Appropriately scope investigations, taking into consideration factors such as industry risk and regulatory impact;
- Development of investigation plans;
- Taking of witness statements;
- Conducting records of interview;
- Preparation of briefs of evidence;
- Liaising with QBCC legal officers;
- Giving evidence in court and administrative proceedings.
- Supporting the Principal Investigator, Manager and Director by providing advice and assistance in implementing strategic direction.
- Interpreting and providing advice on legislation, standards, policies, guidelines and practices related to plumbing and drainage.
- Planning and implementing operational procedure and system improvements to ensure efficient administration of regulatory compliance related to plumbing and drainage in response to organisational and regulatory changes.
- Provide exceptional customer service to all staff of the Commission and external customers.
- Highly developed written, oral and interpersonal communication skills, including compilation of comprehensive reports, along with mediation and negotiation skills with particular emphasis on managing the investigation process and related matters.
- Proven record of interpreting and applying plumbing legislation and standards or proven record of industry experience or other relevant experience.
- Contribute to the team to achieve outcomes and effective work relationships
- Possession of an investigation-based qualification.
