Description:
The position assists in the development, implementation and evaluation of strategy, programs and policies to support the NSW public health system in the area of violence, abuse and neglect. The role contributes to the provision of advice to a large range of stakeholders including Executive, Senior Managers and frontline workers in the client as appropriate.
Key accountabilities:
- Engage with and manage a wide range of internal and external stakeholders to ensure a consistent and coordinated statewide approach to the integration of violence, abuse and neglect services with broader health services
- Assist in the preparation of accurate, clear and timely written and verbal communication specifically in relation to policy documents, briefs, correspondence, meetings and presentations for Senior Executives and key staff within the client, public health organisations and related government agencies.
Required Skills:
- Stakeholder Management: Ability to engage with and manage a wide range of internal and external stakeholders to ensure a consistent and coordinated statewide approach to the integration of violence, abuse, and neglect services with broader health services.
- Communication Skills: Proficiency in preparing accurate, clear, and timely written and verbal communication, including policy documents, briefs, correspondence, meetings, and presentations for Senior Executives and key staff within the client, public health organizations, and related government agencies.
- Strategic Thinking: Capability to contribute to the development, implementation, and evaluation of strategies, programs, and policies to support the NSW public health system in addressing violence, abuse, and neglect.
- Coordination: Ability to support the coordination and integration of violence, abuse, and neglect services with broader health services across the state.
- Policy Development: Understanding of policy development processes and experience in assisting with the preparation of policy documents related to violence, abuse, and neglect in the public health sector.
- Collaboration: Work effectively with Executive, Senior Managers, frontline workers, and related government agencies to provide advice and support in the area of violence, abuse, and neglect services.
- Analytical Skills: Capability to analyze information, identify trends, and provide insights to support decision-making and policy formulation regarding violence, abuse, and neglect within the public health system.
