About the Role
We are currently seeking applications for the multiple permanent full time (37.5 hours per week) roles of Senior Practitioner to work within Virtual Services located at Eight Mile Plains venue.
The purpose of this position is to support all VS team members in the provision of quality service by providing first level escalation support and advice as well as, be responsible for contributing to continuous improvement activities and employee development.
The key responsibilities of this position include:
- Work collaboratively with Virtual Services (VS) employees, the VS leadership team and Clinical Supervisors, to ensure effective management of risk and Duty of Care (DOC) issues, in accordance with applicable DOC procedures
- Support practitioners, TIRO’s and TDRS AO’s in the provision of quality service by providing immediate advice and first level escalation support
- Monitor, assess and provide feedback and one-on-one coaching on call quality using organizationally endorsed assessment tools and templates, and refer improvement areas and provide concerns to the relevant Reporting Manager
- Carry a 33% case load, or as allocated by the SM (Support Manager) and take calls, particularly during peak periods, to increase service flexibility and capacity in responding to call demand
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including assisting in the implementation of key process improvement and service capability development initiatives
- Design and deliver high quality training for new and existing employees that aligns with RAQ best practice standards
Senior Practitioners may be required to provide rostered, out-of-hours (including 24/7) on-call support to staff and require availability for rostered shifts including weekends and outside standard business hours.
About You
To be successful in this position, you will have.
- An undergraduate qualification in Social or Behavioural Science, Social Work, Psychology or Law
- Demonstrated experience as a practitioner within a counselling or family dispute resolution role
- Proven experience in handling high risk clients and applying appropriate clinical judgement.
- Strong understanding of Family Law, family dispute resolution and counselling theory and practice, and ability to apply this knowledge to RAQ programs and services
- Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, e.g. Family Law Act, Child Protection Act, Domestic and Family Violence Protection Act.

The salary being offered is between $101,202.61 to $114,017.97 per annum, to be negotiated depending upon qualifications and experience, plus superannuation. We also offer our employees as follows:
