Senior Pricing Advisor

• Permanent role
• Sydney (preferred), Brisbane or Melbourne CBD location
• Provide technical support on model methodologies and their implementation
• Actively collaborate across the Division and Function, in particular with Portfolio and Actuarial areas to support the achievement of business objectives

The purpose of the Senior Pricing Advisor role is to develop and integrate end-to-end pricing capability and insights across Commercial Insurance Long tail products. Products covered within our team include Professional Indemnity, Corporate Liability, and Surety.
This role would encompass assisting team performance to maximise effectiveness in a dynamic environment; gain customer insight to support the team in delivering exceptional customer service; collaborating with other teams and external consultants; remove blockages to performance; escalate issues; and look for ways to simplify processes.
Key Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Develop pricing recommendations and proposals designed to closely align pricing strategy to budget and accurately implement timely price changes timely within the business/function
• Lead pricing and Senior Pricing analysts to model products and covers within
• Lead pricing initiatives to explore, develop both internal and external data/modelling capabilities
• Product pricing review across Commercial insurance intermediated products
• Collaborate with Commercial & Consumer Pricing Managers to deliver business objectives.

Skills & Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience, preferably in the general insurance industry working closely with end to end solutions
• Proven ability to lead & engage a team to achieve individual, team and divisional goals, preferably 1-3 years of experience leading a team of people
• Strong knowledge of Commercial insurance Products and Pricing of key business drivers
• Experience in Actuarial IBNR/IBNER models
• Ability to develop solutions and courses of action by using an information base to identify key issues, compare with other data and determine cause-effect relationships.
