About the role
The depth and breadth of our Civil Engineering expertise across Australia has enabled us to develop new customised project solutions, irrespective of scope, size, complexity or location and this integral position within our Melbourne based transport team will assist us manage drainage related works for the planning and design of complex, major transport infrastructure projects.
We now have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Drainage Engineer, with expertise in drainage design to manage drainage related work (including stormwater management and flooding) for the planning and design of MRPV, NELA and SRLA Projects.
Day to day tasks would involve:
Manage drainage related works including stormwater management and flooding for the planning and detailed design of transport infrastructure drainage design - servicing road, rail and airport projects.
Detailed analysis and review of hydrological and hydraulic model.
Retention and Detention Basin design for water quality treatment of surface water and groundwater.
Provide technical design expertise for drainage and stormwater quality systems, including piped networks and major transverse drainage structures Embrace and promote a leading digital work environment and delivery culture.
Ensure work output is of a technically high standard and activities are commercially viable for the business.
Plan resource needs in consultation with project managers and ensure that projects are completed on time and on budget.
Qualifications
To be successful for this role you'll need:
Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering with minimum 8 years' experience in the delivery of MRPV or multi-disciplinary drainage design
Working knowledge with drainage and water quality design software such as 12d, Drains, XP STORM, HECRAS, MUSIC etc is required.
Knowledge in TUFLOW flood modelling software will be preferrable.
Thorough knowledge of ARR 2019, Austroads, MTM, VicTrack, V/Line and Australian standards.
