ABOUT THE ROLE/S
Alinea International is seeking applications from candidates interested in senior or Principal Consultant positions to join our dynamic team and help drive Alinea international's future directions. We are keen to hear from people with 10+ years of professional experience working in the international aid and development sector, or people who have worked with indigenous communities in Australia or elsewhere.
We are currently seeking consultants with experience and expertise in Program Design, Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The positions take on Program Design, Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning, Business Development, Technical Assistance, and Strategic Project Management responsibilities.
As a growing company, Alinea International requires the positions to be flexible and agile in response to emerging business opportunities.
Requirements may include:
- Providing internal support for Alinea International projects and potentially assuming roles within technical teams.
- Collaborating with other Consultants in the completion of deliverables for clients.
- Providing services including high quality advice, consultation and liaison, conducting literature reviews, research, and report writing.
- Identifying and pursuing business opportunities, supporting bid writing, talent sourcing, and building relationships with potential clients.
- Undertaking project work, contributing to business development, and providing technical services as required by Alinea International.
SELECTION CRITERIA
MANDATORY
Either:
- Advanced university degree (Masters) in social sciences, international development or related discipline, or equivalent, and a minimum of ten years' experience working in international aid and development or with Australian Aboriginal communities; or
- Commensurate work experience without a relevant tertiary qualification in excess of ten years' experience working in international aid and development.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the Australian aid and development program in Asia and the Pacific.
- Knowledge and experience of Monitoring and Evaluation, Program Design and Program Review.
- Proficiency in Strategic Plan Development, System Analysis, Procedure Review, and Advisory Services.
- Self-driven with a good sense of judgement and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Excellent writing and interpersonal skills.
- Experience working with government clients.
- Ability to travel overseas (duration and frequency is negotiable).
HIGHLY DESIRABLE:
- Experience working as an advisor, consultant, or on multiple short-term contracts simultaneously.
- Experience working with the Australian aid program.
