ABOUT THE ROLE

This role is a permanent position on a 5:2 roster, DIDO from our Boddington Bauxite Mine, which is located a short drive from the community of Boddington (10 minutes), Pinjarra (50 minutes) and the City of Mandurah (1 hour).

As the Senior Process Engineer, you will be responsible to provide specialised technical engineering/mining process leadership and expertise in the fields of open pit mining operations and execute continuous monitoring, analysis and benchmarking of our mining operations performance. Provide and maintain the required production performance reports (dashboards). Track and report on production metrics and compliance to plan.

Other key responsibilities include, but aren't limited to:

• Monitors, analyses, and reports on BBM integrated operational performance (from exploration drilling through to rehabilitation and conveyed tones).
• Proactively troubleshoots and delivers solutions to existing mining operational bottlenecks regarding process or yield.
• Leads the process to develop operational budgets.
• Develops metrics, processes and strategies to identify inefficiencies in the execution of work and manages the implementation of actions to sustain and improve performance (continuous improvement).

ABOUT YOU

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

• Strong conceptual thinking and data visualisation skills with practical alignment to reality.
• Has suitable technical expertise and transferable skills to use key performance data to highlight key production bottleneck and inform decision-making.
• At least 10 years' experience working in a technical role, preferably in an open cut mining environment.
• Experience with Fleet Management System a plus.

Qualifications for this position are:

• Experience with data analytics, data visualisation and statistical modelling & prediction.
• Experience with mining assumptions setting, tracking and benchmarking.
• Proven capability to operate in a complex environment, leading, influencing and facilitating diverse teams.
