Under the limited direction of the Director, ESA Procurement, Sourcing and Purchasing, the Senior Procurement Officer will ensure the ESA acts with probity and legislative compliance in all activities related to the procurement of goods and services.
A key component of this role is to build strong rapport with both internal and external stakeholders; this includes all Branch’s and Operational Services the within the ESA; the Justice and Community Safety Directorate (JACSD), the ACT Government and neighbouring jurisdictions and Procurement ACT.
With your exceptional procurement skills, you will provide advice to the ESA staff participating in procurement activities to ensure ACT ESA is compliant, and to ensure a value for money outcome is achieved within required timeframes.
Your actions will generate tangible impacts for the ACT’s Emergency Services and the wider community.

Eligibility/Other Requirements:
- Certificate IV Procurement and Contract Management is highly desirable.
- A ‘C’ Class Driver’s licence is essential.
- This position may require a Working with Vulnerable People registration.
Notes: This is a temporary position available immediately for up to 12 months with the Possibility of Permanency. A merit pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill identical vacancies over the next 12 months. Selection may be based on application and referee reports only.
