Our large NSW State Government client regulates motor accidents CTP insurance, workers compensation insurance and the home building compensation scheme in NSW.
About the Role
An experienced Procurement Officer to join the team in Parramatta, with flexibility to work from home 3 days per week. This is an estimated 6-month temporary assignment, with a potential to extend or go permanent.
This role will be responsible for providing a wide range of procurement and project support to achieve organisational objectives.
Responsibilities
Validate stakeholder business needs
Gather and collate information to support informed decision-making outcomes
Analyse and evaluate data, assessing risk to inform procurement planning
Track, monitor and report on project plans, status updates, milestones and deliverables
Identify trends and issues, mitigating risks whilst contributing to continuous improvement initiatives
Generate routine reports to ensure compliance requirements are met
Participate in negotiations to establish and review current arrangements
Contribute to the development of contract management plans, contract variations and performance
Records and database management ensuring high integrity, accuracy and confidentiality
Translate complex procurement information into everyday terminology for a variety of stakeholders
Establish and maintain effective stakeholder relationships, facilitating collaboration, cohesion, partnerships, engagement and contribution of ideas
Ensure compliance to NSW Government and Departmental Procurement frameworks
Provide general support on ad-hoc projects as required
About you
Demonstrated procurement experience
Thorough understanding of NSW Government Procurement frameworks
Impeccable interpersonal and communication skills
Strong computer literacy skills and proficiency with MS Office Suite
Superior organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritise conflicting deadlines
Solid analytical, negotiation and problem-solving skills
A strong team and task focus, takes initiative with willingness to assist others
Reliable remote internet access with the ability to work independently from home
Willingness to undergo a National Police Check
Fully COVID vaccinated or medically exempt
Ability to commence and commit to the duration of the assignment
