BESTMED has been implemented in more than 815 aged care homes (and growing) and provides medication management solutions for more than 60,000 residents (and growing). The business is growing rapidly and has a clearly defined growth strategy.
The business currently employs a team across sales, development, customer service, operations, and finance, with the majority of roles based in Western Sydney, NSW.
BESTMED seeks an experienced, hands-on and energetic Senior Product Manager that will oversee part of the company’s medication software product. This role has 1 Business Analyst as a direct report, and the Senior Product Manager will also be responsible for a development squad based offshore.
Purpose and Overall Objective
The Senior Product Manager is responsible for understanding, raising, and monitoring ideas for their part of the BESTMED platform. This will involve:
• Deep understanding of customer problems: Working with the Head of Product and wider team, this role is expected to gain deep understanding of customers problems for their allocated platform focus area. It is expected this person will have a pharmacy background either through a formal qualification or having worked in medication software for significant time
• Technology capability and effectiveness: A good understanding of what technology can do and what’s the most cost effective and reliable solution to solve an issue.
• Creating impactful products: Find new ways to solve problems for customers that makes BESTMED stand out in the market. Be able to work with uncertainty to map out a path to test with customers and resolve problems as they occur.
Competencies and skills
• Well established skills in product management and work within the digital health cloud software sector/aged care software sector and preferably within medication management
• Strong planning and organisation skills
• Strong data-driven decision making using analysis to form the basis of recommendations
• Results and action orientation, with an understanding that time is of the essence
• Customer service orientation
• Good presentation, written and verbal communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
Experience
• 3+ years of experience in a product management leadership role, ideally within the health industry cloud software company
• Proven experience bringing new products and/or platforms to market with high advocacy from end users
• (Desirable) Experience in software and / or care-orientated businesses
Qualifications
• Degree qualified in Pharmacy preferred but not necessarily essential
