The Senior Product Manager is a member of the Mortgages Tribe within ING's One Way of Working organisation, who will work together with other Product Managers and Product Owners to achieve the Tribe's purpose. The Senior Product Manager will have expertise in one or more of the areas of product management, channel and/or process optimisation, or other relevant areas that are required in the Tribe.
In this position, the Senior Product Manager will have responsibility for the development, management and lifecycle of Mortgages products, services, channel delivery and processes within one or more of these areas. The Senior Product Manager will be familiar with the relationship between these areas, with a view to achieving an optimal customer experience whilst meeting ING targets.
What You’ll Do
- Use your technical expertise and experience to contribute to all sprint events. You ask, answer and challenge actively during all events of the sprint
- Represent the voice of the customer, have a strong vision as to how to attract and retain customers and focus on continuously improving the customer benefits ING is offering and the key moments of truth for customers.
- Co-manage and prioritise the backlog at the level of user stories, derived from features
- Manage product risks and product requirements relating to the customer, supplier and regulators including all financial & non-financial risk
- Design strategy for products, channels, promotion, pricing, and product and process quality, in keeping with ING’s brand and local and global strategic and regulatory objectives and with a customer perspective as the optimal starting point to create an ideal customer journey
- 5+ years in the banking industry or similar (mortgage/home loan experience highly desirable)
- Demonstrated depth of experience in the fundamentals of product management, process or channel optimisation
- Experience in a customer environment, where the customer needs are at the heart of the proposition development
- A creative and an out-of-the box thinker who likes to work in a multidisciplinary team in an agile environment
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills – the ability to collaborate and communicate with a wide array of stakeholders
