The Payments domain in CBA brings together the process, people and technology assets supporting real-time, bulk electronic, cheques, high value and international payments processing for the Bank. The team have the monumental task of ensuring that 40% of the Australian economy are able to transact over $90 billion a day using the Bank's services in a reliable manner. With the payments technology systems being at the heart of the Bank, almost every customer-facing channel relies on payments services in one way or another. The Data Services Crew within the Payments Domain has stewardship over the Bank's Payments Data to support the development of new customer propositions and ensure compliance with regulatory obligations. The team are responsible to build and lead the world-class data delivery capability across critical Payments Data platforms and highly visible change initiatives.

As a Senior Product Manager within the Payments Data Services Crew, you will work closely with our Payments Customer Reporting squads to deliver exceptional outcomes for our business stakeholders and customers. This role is pivotal to the success of our overall Transaction Banking Strategy in shaping the current and future product offerings for our Payments Customer Reporting and Data Feeds products.
This position reports to the Crew Lead, Payments Data Services .
Key responsibilities will include:
- Product strategy: Define the Payments Customer Reporting and Data Feeds strategy from solution to delivery
- Market research and analytics: Identify trends, customer preferences, regulations, and competitive landscape to inform product development
- Product development: Lead the end-to-end product development process, from ideation and concept development to launch, ensuring products are designed to meet market demands and regulatory expectations
- Risk management: Responsible for proactively managing risks including performance of regular controls, robust product governance, identification of issues, escalation and swift resolution of issues including remediation
- Customer experience: Continuously improve the customer experience by reviewing and enhancing product features, benefits, and digital experience
- Financial performance: Manage the financial performance, optimising revenue and profitability
- Cross functional collaboration: Work closely with cross functional teams, including client maintenance, risk, compliance, finance, technology, and distribution to ensure seamless product delivery
- Performance Analysis: Analyse product performance, KPIs and customer complaints to identify areas for improvement and opportunities for growth

- Advanced ability to drive outcomes and execute on a roadmap of initiatives
- Advanced communication, stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, including the ability to progress multiple initiatives concurrently
- Proven problem-solving skills coupled with a strong ability to innovation and think differently about strategies to grow the portfolio
- Experience in delivering strong outcomes in an Agile environment
- Ability to think analytically and use data and insights to make decisions
- Sound commercial acumen
- Strong business product knowledge is preferred, experience managing banking products highly regarded
- Tertiary qualification in a Business / Commerce Degree Preferred
