A fantastic opportunity at NBN Co, as a Senior Production Specialist reporting to the Senior Manager NMC Core - NM Control Centre
A bit about your role
The Senior Production Specialist role provides:
Deep technical expertise across a multi-vendor core network infrastructure supporting a national broadband layer 2 network for 8.5+ million customers.
The Network Management Centre (NMC) employs industry best practice in delivering customer experience.
Define, build, deploy and support an automation capability across the NMC. This includes activities such as Network Orchestration, real time Automation, AI capability that enables process efficiencies and improvements to reduce waste and swivel chair activities across the NMC business.
You’ll play a pivotal role in enhancing our operational efficiency, enabling next generation automation and AI capabilities to the business. Your current industry experience in enterprise telecommunications industry will be highly valued.
A bit about you
Automation Coding Excellence:
To be successful in this position you will leverage your current automation experience within an enterprise network, delivering robust automation solutions for 24x7 NOC.
You’ll work with multiple stakeholders to ensure the automation solutions are fit-for-purpose in a timely manner to meet business needs.
Empowering Self-Service:
Showcase your ability to create self-serve capabilities for NOC Shift Team members.
Empower our staff to build and manage their workflows, reducing dependency on specialized teams.
Business Understanding:
Have experience in working in a National NOC environment, supporting multi-vendor and multi-technology solutions, and the challenges this environment brings.
Utilize your business skills to represent the NMC in stakeholder negotiations.
Telecommunications Expertise:
Your knowledge of enterprise Core networks is critical (e.g. Aggregation and DWDM). Knowledge of access technologies (FTTX, HFC, etc.) is also desirable.
