This is an exciting new opportunity to join a high profile program within a prominent NSW Government Agency.
The Senior Program & Policy Officer will be responsible for providing high level secretariat support for an economic fund board, managing a range of governance and reporting matters. Additionally, will have the responsibility of oversight to ensure fund is compliant with NSW Government policies.
Key Accountabilities:
- Manage and oversee all aspects of project planning, development and implementation for a range of projects
- Provide expert policy advice and information to relevant stakeholders to facilitate the appropriate interpretation and implementation of policies and support Agency and Government policy initiatives
- Mentor and guide policy and project officers and support staff, ensuring compliance with governance and quality requirements, to successfully deliver policy priorities and initiatives and successfully deliver all key projects milestones
- Prepare correspondence, written reports, publications, and briefs, that are informative and aligned with agency requirements, to respond to Agency and Government requests
Essential Experience:
- Demonstrated experience working within a complex policy program environment
- Strong ability and experience to both analyse and draft complex policy matters
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- NSW Government experience is required
- Experience working with Treasury's and/or economics is highly desirable however, not essential
