Where you’ll be working
You will be working with a diverse and dynamic team within the System Performance Support Branch, System Sustainability and Performance Division and based at 1 Reserve Road, St Leonards, NSW 2065. The System Performance Support Branch has the lead role in monitoring the performance of Health services by working in close partnership with health service executives, senior managers and clinicians as well as other parts of the Ministry and pillar organisations.

About the Role
The Senior Project Officer, Whole of Health Program (WOHP) provides project support to meet organisational objectives. The role develops and supports the development and implementation of best practice policies, programs, projects, and activities for the Ministry of Health, public health organisations, and related government agencies, and provides project advice to support the achievement of NSW Health's objectives in relation to improving service levels in hospitals.
The Senior Project Officer supports the Director of Whole of Health Program to manage key project and program management functions for the Branch.

Selection Criteria
- Substantial skills in managing all stages of the project cycle (planning, development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation) with demonstrated experience delivering projects in hospitals or statewide healthcare settings.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications or demonstrated equivalent professional experience in a health care setting with an understanding of patient flow through hospitals.
- Highly developed analytical skills including the ability to analyse and interpret complex information from numerous sources and health care data bases.
- Ability to prepare and present complex information in a succinct and clear way to Senior Executive within Health.
- Excellent interpersonal, influencing and negotiation skills with demonstrated experience engaging, collaborating, and influencing key stakeholders and customers to influence and achieve optimal business outcomes.
- Superior organisational skills and experience working in a high volume and demanding professional environment with proven capacity to prioritise, multi-task, achieve business goals, perform and always work with a customer focused approach.
- Proven capacity to develop and implement complex strategic initiatives, including the capability to plan, manage change, improve performance and project manage in relation to patient flow across NSW Health.
