Primary objective
The Senior Grants Administrator is responsible for the development, oversight and management of grants and projects funded
under the Domestic, Family and Sexual Violence (DFSV) National Partnership Agreement (NPA)
Key duties and responsibilities
1. Contribute to the implementation of the Northern Territory Domestic, Family and Sexual Violence Reduction Framework.
2. Establish, administer and manage programs, grants, contracts and procurement activities under the DFSV NPA.
3. Evaluate and report on the performance and outcomes of projects funded under the DFSV NPA.
4. Provide high-level advice to senior management regarding the planning, progress and delivery of projects.
5. Prepare documents including Ministerial briefings, executive memorandums, grant agreements, procurement documents, and
reports on domestic, family and sexual violence reduction policies and programs.
6. Cultivate effective relationships with regional, intergovernmental and non-government stakeholders, to encourage meaningful
communication and input in the development and implementation of domestic, family and sexual violence programs.
Selection criteria
Essential
1. Understanding of the legislative, policy and administrative instruments that directly relate to procurement and grants
administration in the Northern Territory Government or the ability to quickly acquire understanding.
2. Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to prepare grant agreements, procurement documents,
memorandums and Ministerial briefings.
3. Proven ability in effective grant and contract establishment, administration, monitoring and management, including the use of
grant management systemic and software and procurement systems.
4. Demonstrated organisational and project management skills with the ability to be proactive, plan, work independently, exercise
discretion, pay attention to detail and prioritise tasks.
5. Well-developed relationship management skills including the ability to develop and manage strong collaborative partnerships
with a diverse range of government, non-government and community stakeholders.
6. Understanding of contemporary issues in the prevention of and response to domestic, family and sexual violence, particularly
in the context of the Northern Territory, and an awareness of national and international policies, trends and initiatives.
7. An ability to travel, both within the Territory (including remote communities) and interstate, as required.
Desirable
1. Tertiary qualifications in Business, Public Administration, Project Management, social or political science, public policy, public
health, gender studies, community development, law, sociology or other relevant area.
2. Knowledge of Northern Territory Government processes or the proven ability to quickly acquire such knowledge.
3. Northern Territory drivers licence or ability to obtain
