The Opportunity:
Are you passionate about waste education for sustainability in schools? The Department of Water and Environmental Regulation (DWER) is on the lookout for a dedicated Senior Programs Officer to lead our WasteSorted Schools program.
This is a permanent part-time job share role, working 37.5 hours per fortnight.
The Senior Programs Officer, WasteSorted Schools, coordinates, develops, implements and evaluates the WasteSorted Schools program. In line with the Waste Strategy 2023, the program supports Western Australian schools in implementing waste avoidance and recovery practices and positive environmental attitudes and behaviours in students and the wider school community.
This role also effectively and efficiently provides services within the Circular Economy portfolio to the Waste Strategy directorate, the Waste Authority, and Minister and Departmental support services concerning waste programs.
