The Opportunity
The Senior Project Coordinator is responsible for administration support and ensuring that the respective portfolio of works and/or projects are completed in line with agreed safety, quality, compliance, cost, time, and scope targets. All works are designed, documented, approved, and completed in line with G8 standards and expectations as well as all relevant legislative requirements. This role is a permanent full time role based either in our Brisbane Office, or Gold Coast office. You will work in a hybrid capacity with the opportunity to work 2 days in office and 3 from home.
Your day-to-day
The role involves collaborative work within the team under the guidance of either the line manager or the National Capital Works Manager. This includes providing support during periods of high workload or staff absence and assisting with project delivery. Responsibilities also entail maintaining and monitoring Capital Works management plans and program tools, alongside the development of guides to enhance project success. Building and nurturing internal customer relationships across departments is crucial, as is supporting the Project Management Team in managing delegated budgets to ensure annual expenditure remains within set limits. Additionally, the role involves generating and presenting regular reports, reviewing Centre Upgrade-related budgets, finances, contracts, expenditures, and purchases, as well as organizing documentation for quotes management and invoice approvals.
About You
- Minimum 3 years experience in a project administration or support role.
- Project management experience is highly regarded in Early Education or similar.
- Exceptional communicator; bringing a point of view and being able to defend it in conversations with the Managing Director and other senior leaders.
- High Level of proficiency with Microsoft Suite with strong level of usage on Excel and Sharepoint document control.
- Values-based leader with strong coaching capability.
- Well-developed strategic thinking skills and experience.
- Demonstrates professionalism and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to work across multiple projects and prioritise work
- Demonstrated ability in problem-solving and decision-making
