Senior Project Engineer - Capital Works

Salary Range $102,311.38 to $109,926.01 plus 11% superannuation

About this Role
In this role, you will oversee the planning and delivery of a range of complex civil engineering projects and services across the Municipality and assist in developing or updating programs for work performance standards, specifications, systems and procedures related to infrastructure assets.
You will also support to Coordinator Capital Works in the delivery of the capital program and supervise and mentor team members of the Capital Works team.
About You
For this role, we are seeking someone with a minimum of 5 years Local Government experience with a demonstrated knowledge of all facets of Local Government engineering and proven experience in leading and supervising staff.
You will need:
- Approved tertiary civil engineering qualification eligible for registration under the Professional Engineers Registration Act 2019.
- Demonstrated experience in the delivery of construction projects within the Local Government industry or equivalent
- Demonstrated ability to clearly write and review technical specifications and prepare Contract documentation
- Proven ability to investigate and analyse options and review functional designs to provide the best outcomes for civil infrastructure issues
- Proven ability to negotiate with and influence internal and external stakeholders, providing sound written and verbal advice to ensure project activities and stakeholder needs are achieved
- Current driver's licence
