Position Overview:
Our client is currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Project Engineer to join their team based in Western Australia. This presents an exciting opportunity for motivated professionals with a background in the rail sector or Project Engineers looking to embark on a rewarding career in rail engineering. As a Senior Project Engineer, you will play a key role in leading and managing various rail engineering projects, contributing to the continued growth and success of our client's business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of rail engineering projects from inception to completion.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to project teams, ensuring adherence to project specifications, budgets, and timelines.
- Collaborate with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to establish project goals, requirements, and deliverables.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Prepare and review technical documentation, including engineering drawings, specifications, and project reports.
- Foster a culture of safety, quality, and innovation within the project team, promoting best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience in Project Engineering or management roles within the rail sector, with a strong understanding of rail engineering principles and practices.
- Demonstrated leadership and project management skills, with the ability to effectively manage multidisciplinary teams and deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise confidently with clients, contractors, and stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera, etc.) and familiarity with relevant engineering software and technologies.
