A newly created role has become available for a Senior Project Engineer with exceptional communication, leadership, and problem solving skills to join the business and play an integral part of a dynamic and professional project team. With a high value investment supported by local and state governments, you'll play a critical role contributing to major work packages, including a community land development, and a state-of-the-art recycling facility.
Based in Kurnell and reporting to the Project Delivery Manager, you’ll ply your trade in coordinating thorough planning, execution, and optimisation efforts. Your responsibilities include overseeing the implementation of advanced recycling initiatives and contributing to land projects, emphasising technical excellence, regulatory compliance, and efficient resource management.
You will be trusted with:
- Creating EOI’s and tenders for specialist sub-contract packages
- Developing and managing project plans, ensuring timelines, milestones, and resource requirements are met
- Providing technical expertise for civil packages such as utilities, earthworks and drainage.
- Managing project budgets, monitoring expenditures, and optimising resource allocation
- Identifying and mitigating project risks through proactive assessments and adaptive planning
- Ensuring compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations, obtaining necessary permits
- Maintaining clear communication with stakeholders/sub-contractors
- Implementing quality control measures, enforcing standards for efficient recycling processes
- Leading and inspiring a multidisciplinary engineering team, fostering collaboration and professional development
- Maintaining accurate project documentation and generating reports for senior management.
- A Bachelor's degree in civil or mechanical engineering or a related field
- 7 or more years' field and project planning experience.
- Excellent computer literacy
- Knowledge of applicable civil engineering codes, policies, standards, and best practices
- Excellent project management and supervision skills
