Position Available: Senior Project Environmental Advisor
About Us:
Our client is dedicated to designing, delivering, and maintaining long-duration pumped hydro energy storage assets. As part of the Queensland Government's renewable energy initiative, we're committed to achieving 70% renewables by 2032, 80% by 2035, and net zero emissions by 2050.
Purpose:
Lead environmental compliance, offset area management, and sustainable practices for their Pumped Hydro Energy Storage Project. Your expertise will shape environmentally responsible infrastructure delivery on a large scale.
Accountabilities:
Provide specialist advice on environmental, sustainability, and cultural heritage management.
Mentor project staff, oversee offset measures, and lead engagement efforts with stakeholders.
Design robust environmental management systems, develop policies, and ensure strict compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in environmental science/engineering with 10 years of relevant experience.
Registration as a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) (or ability to obtain within 6 months).
Knowledge and Skills:
Proficient in environmental laws, impact assessments, and cultural heritage management.
Exceptional communication and leadership skills with a strategic approach to environmental planning.
