Project Manage sub-divisions across Victoria and be accountable for them end-to-end, through the full life cycle including financials.
Agency and autonomy in the workplace. You'll be accountable here to your peers, not a manager. The company
A highly reputable Melbourne group; known for their work in the sub-divisions sector (predominantly greenfields). Their close relationships with clients, forged over time and built on trust, puts them in a great position - whilst they are 'small', they are mighty.
The vacancy
This is a pure Project Management role to look after whole projects between 500 and 4000 lots. As with any senior role, there'll be an element of business development too.
The role
You'll be working in an office of around 20 colleagues compromising civil engineers, designers, drafters and support staff.
The role reports to a company Director yet the company overall firmly believes in accountability; teams are set up project by project and not into disciplines and you will manage your own portfolio, time frames and budgets and your accountaibility will be to your peers.
You've obviously done a Land development PM role before so you know what's involved. Your time will be spent in project meetings and managing projects, contract administration, managing resources and client expectations.
As a Senior PM, you'll be in charge of financials for the project too. This can be taught if you haven't done it in your role previously, as can support for tendering on new work.
You'll be experienced enough so that you'll also be doing business development as part of your role.
About you
- Engineering (Civil) degree
- Melbourne based PM experience in land development
- An open mind and an understanding that schedules and time frames change regularly.
