Your New Employer:

u&u. has been retained by an instantly recognisable market leader within the not-for-profit sector to recruit a permanent Project Manager position. The role is a permanent role based at their headquarters on the North side of Sydney (parking on-site). The company is a true specialist in their field and have over 3,000 employees. They are well respected within their sector as an employer of choice with a strong customer centric culture. The culture is focused on training and development of staff and working together to achieve shared outcomes. This is particularly the case with this role, which will work across various business streams and partner with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation. Furthermore, the company focus heavily on employee safety and wellness, so work from home options or flexible hours are highly supported with this role.

Your New Role:

Reporting to the Head of IT, you'll join at an exciting period of company growth, transformation and technology investment. An IT roadmap of technology uplift has been developed and approved by the board and all core business systems will be replaced with modern, fit for purpose, scalable solutions. You'll manage the delivery of projects within this project pipeline. This is a genuinely exciting opportunity to make the role your own and be part of an exciting enterprise transformation underpinned by technology. You'll be hands on as part of a small IT team and will have a clear career progression path available as the transformation evolves.

You'll:

  • Own overall project plan and execution towards successful delivery on time, on budget;
  • Control project scope ensuring alignment to agreed deliverables and overall IT strategy;
  • Manage project resource allocation;
  • Manage project budgets and financial
  • Identify and mitigate project risks;
  • Prepare progress updates and manage the project communication plan;
  • Provide training to the business on new technology and assist with change management; and
  • Manage any project issues as they arise.

Your Experience and Career Background:

You'll ideally have:

  • Minimum of five years' experience in a similar Project Manager role (exposure to the aged care, human services or not-for-profit industry is desirable however all industry backgrounds are encouraged to apply);
  • You will have a proven track record of delivering successful projects and influencing a diverse range of stakeholders to ensure projects remain on plan. In your previous projects, you will have had responsibility for the schedule, budget, scope, risk and communication plan;
  • You will have a diverse range of project experience across infrastructure, SDLC and applications;
  • You will be a driver who enjoys getting things done. You will possess a strong partnership and relationship focus with excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • You will enjoy following a structured project management methodology (e.g. PMBOK, Prince2, Agile) but will apply common sense to how you manage projects and engage stakeholders;
  • You will be strong with embedding rigour and change, working closely with non-technical stakeholders to ensure high levels of adoption; and
  • Above all else, you will have a humble, kind, friendly and trustworthy personality, with excellent listening skills. You will be disciplined, articulate and conversational and get excited by the prospect of working for a growing market leader that truly gives back to the community and supports those vulnerable or disadvantaged.
