JBS&G is currently working on a range of exciting projects across the urban development, mining, natural gas, infrastructure and renewable energy sectors.
Our Melbourne office is seeking motivated Senior Project Manager / Associate Consultants with 8 – 16 years’ experience to join our Contaminated Land team in Melbourne.
About the role
You will be part of a dynamic team that works collaboratively with clients across a range of projects both nationally and locally. A sound understanding of local and national environmental legislation will be important and you will have the opportunity to work with and learn from some of Australia’s leading environmental and Contaminated Land professionals. An aptitude for business development will also be looked upon favourably.
Our team are fast, capable, experts in all aspects of environmental consulting, from assessment and remediation, completing onsite assessment programs, environmental impact assessment, managing specialist sub-consultants, working with stakeholders and government regulators and providing high-quality outcomes for our clients. JBS&G will provide you with the tools to enable career development, with long standing client relationships, interesting projects, collaboration and idea generation across all sectors and service streams.
About you
The successful candidate will:
• Hold a relevant degree in environmental science or engineering preferably with a sound understanding of earth sciences, specifically hydrogeology, geology or chemistry
• Skills in the business development and client relationship space will be looked upon favourably
• Be a self-starter, a natural leader, problem solver, strategic thinker and a team player
• Competent in project management
• Experience in Contaminated Land assessment and remediation
• Experience working with remediation systems will be advantageous
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Comply with all statutory and company HSSE policies, standards and procedures, and instigate and follow safe work practices
• A current construction industry White Card would be beneficial
• Ability and willingness to travel if required
• Current unrestricted Australian driver’s licence
