The Role
The Senior Project Manager will oversee all aspects of construction projects on behalf of the client, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget and to sufficient quality standards. This role will oversee various stakeholders involved in the construction process, including contractors, engineers and regulatory authorities.
Strong project planning experience with developing comprehensive project schedules, timelines, budgets and the ability to allocate adequate resources is essential. A sound knowledge of identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategies to minimize impact on projects as well as maintaining comprehensive risk registers including contingency plans is required.
Due to the nature of this role, our ideal candidate will be someone with significant experience delivering large scale renewable energy projects or transmission electrical systems projects with vales in excess of $200 million.
About You
- Qualification in either Project Management, Engineering or equivalent industry experience
- Minimum 7-10 years’ experience in the project management and/or construction of power generating facilities and/or transmission/electrical systems
- Strong contract management ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
- Proven quality assurance background establishing and upholding quality and safety standards for construction work, ensuring adherence to specifications and regulations
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office suite applications and utilising project management software packages/tools
- Collaborative and engaging working style with excellent communication and interpersonal skills including delegation, consultation and facilitating teamwork
