Senior Project Manager – Construction

ASAP start – 6 month initial contract

Pay: $120 - $135 per hour + super
The purpose of the position is to successfully manage the delivery of predominantly medium to high risk/complexity projects to plan, within the Regional Annual Integrated Works Program. The Program includes capital works, maintenance and facilities management services, tactical renewal and minor works projects.
Key Accountabilities:
- Manage the successful delivery of projects within the region from initiation through to close out and handover in accordance with NEC4 processes
- Prepare business cases to meet client expectations, including options identification, analysis and recommendation
- Ensure project risks are effectively identified, mitigated and managed
- Ensure project schedules are developed, updated, monitored and managed in line with the business case expectations, for all phases of the project, and that project schedule milestones are defined, measured, managed and met.
- Ensure Quality, Workplace Health and Safety and Environmental plans are developed, reviewed, approved and monitored to ensure compliance to contract and plans
- Ensure that a procurement strategy is in place, and procurement details are in specification, and that procurement activities are carried out accordingly.
- Other relevant project-related tasks
- Proven project management experience, delivering large, multi-faceted projects
- Proven leadership/senior management experience
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills
- Significant relevant industry experience, including:
- Working within and leading large, multi-disciplinary integrated teams and/or alliances
- Design and construction project delivery within the infrastructure/utilities sectors
- NEC4 contract management and administration
- Managing complex stakeholders
- Leading positive business change
- Program management and/or regional delivery of multiple investment programs
- Delivery via a range of contracting models
- Experience within utilities industry is highly regarded
