As a Senior Project Manager at Fortescue, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and coordinating various projects within the Energy Operations department our organisation.
Fortescue’s Energy Operations team mission is to provide safe, reliable and efficient power across our Pilbara operations. We are a part of the Northern Hub at Fortescue and have an experienced team that manage all aspects of our high voltage power generation and transmission network.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Planning and Execution:
- Develop detailed project plans, ensuring resource availability and allocation.
- Deliver projects on time, within budget, and scope.
- Monitor project progress and make necessary adjustments.
- Stakeholder Management:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, clients, and external partners.
- Set clear project expectations and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- Risk Management:
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Ensure risk reduction and safety culture within project execution.
- Quality Assurance:
- Oversee all aspects of projects to maintain quality standards.
- Set deadlines, assign responsibilities, and monitor progress.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Contribute to the development of best practices and process enhancements.
- Drive efficiency and effectiveness in project delivery.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Engineering, Business, or Project Management).
- Proven experience as a Project Manager, preferably in the mining or energy industry.
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
