About the Role


*This is a Fixed Term Position until 30 June 2025*


As a Senior Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in the development and execution of commercial strategies and transactions for Precincts. Offering authoritative advice on intricate project delivery and commercial concepts, you will influence decision outcomes for both internal and external stakeholders, including executive management and ministerial offices.


Leading key project tasks, your responsibilities will be tailored to align with your unique skills and extensive experience, with a specific emphasis on professional exposure to capital projects and commercial transactions. Your contribution to our high-performing team will be marked by your unwavering confidence in delivering results, fostering a collaborative environment with team members and project stakeholders, and providing targeted advice to senior management.

Position Outcomes / Accountabilities

  • Led the development and implementation of commercial strategies and transactions for Precincts - including commercial transactions, land acquisition/divestment and project delivery.
  • Conveyed complex project delivery and commercial concepts and information to internal and external stakeholders for a decision outcome, including executive management and ministerial offices.
  • Managed consultant and adviser activities and budgets as required.
  • Taken a lead role in liaising with precinct teams to ensure whole-of-government policy outcomes are achieved on commercial and transaction matters.
  • Lead substantive pieces of work impacting budget and public policy decision making.

To be successful in this role, you will be equipped with exceptional interpersonal, communication, and consultation skills, seamlessly blending them with your prowess in project management, commercial acumen, and negotiation expertise. Your distinguished track record includes providing high-level authoritative advice on complex commercial and sensitive issues to senior management and key stakeholders. The preferred candidate will boast a proven track record in project management, showcasing an innate ability to navigate intricate authorising and stakeholder environments effortlessly.
