Our Project and Program Management business is growing! We have an opportunity for a Senior Project Manager to deliver client-side project management services directly to clients across the education and health sector. Our Program and Project Management Team aims to provide clients with Superintendency and Project Management services from pre-contract to construction, delivery and commissioning.
Our extensive expertise cover urbanism and planning, architecture, building and systems engineering, and cost, project, and construction management.
Together with our clients, we are working to evolve and elevate the built environment across sectors including, social infrastructure, transit, technology and logistics, and commercial and corporate real estate, whilst focusing on solutions that promote long term health and wellbeing for all.

Job Description
What will a day in this role look like:
- Manage, plan and deliver a range of projects for Education and Health clients across Queensland varying in size and scope.
- Guide and oversee the establishment of the project governance structure (budget, scope and schedule) alongside managing project budgets including accurate and timely invoicing, variation management and cash collection.
- Assume the role of Superintendent Representative across projects, managing the contractual obligations on behalf of our clients.
- Manage and mentor junior Project Management resources across a range of projects to help develop the capability and capacity of the team. .
- Meet with clients, contractors and industry stakeholders to facilitate technical discussions, promote AECOM's client-centric culture and ensure our client's project expectations are satisfied.
- Prepare and execute Project Plans during Opportunity and Contracted Phases including; scope & approach, engineering, deliverables management, resources, procurement, budget, scheduling, change management, reporting and project closeout.
Qualifications

What are we looking for from you?
- Tertiary qualifications in either project management, quantity surveying or engineering with the ability to attain accreditation of CPPM as outlined in the AIPM Professional Competency Standards.
- Demonstrated experience as a client-side Project Manager either working for a consultancy or government department ideally with experience in the Education space.
- Previous exposure to assisting in the development of tender submissions and proposals to generate an education project pipeline.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills with the willingness to mentor and develop more junior members of our team.
