A leading public sector organisation is looking for a Senior Project Officer to join their IT and Data Transformation team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a large-scale digital transformation project that aims to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the organisation's IT and data capabilities.

Your new role

As a Senior Project Officer, you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of the IT and Data Transformation project, which involves engaging with external consultants to facilitate a current to future state mapping process with key stakeholders across the Division. You will also assist in developing and managing the strategic IT and data roadmap for the division, as well as conducting business analysis, facilitating workshops, preparing technical and non-technical documentation, and liaising with internal and external stakeholders.

What you'll need to succeed

• A relevant tertiary qualification and/or extensive experience in project management, business analysis, or a related field
• Demonstrated experience in delivering complex IT and data projects within a public sector or large organisation context
• Strong skills in project and change management methodologies and tools, such as PRINCE2, Agile, or Lean
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills, both written and verbal
• Experience with enterprise systems
• A high level of initiative, problem-solving, and analytical skills
