Grade – Clerk Grade 9/10
Salary - $120,859- $133,183 pa plus employer’s contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading
Your role
The Senior Project Officer, Key Worker Housing manages and coordinates the development and implementation of complex projects and policy to reform Key Worker Housing coordination and supply at Homes NSW.
What you’ll do
As Senior Project Officer, Key Worker Housing you are responsible for leading projects and providing policy and strategy advice in a complex environment, including undertaking the full range of project management activities that contribute to strategic and operational reform of Key Worker Housing in NSW.
As part of the Homes NSW Key Worker Housing Program, you will manage all aspects of project planning, development and implementation for a range of projects, including developing project plans, coordinating resources, engaging stakeholders and suppliers, and meeting reporting requirements to ensure project outcomes are achieved.
As a member of a high-performing team you will collaborate across government and contribute thoughtful advice on policy reform and strategy to Homes NSW executives, intergovernmental groups and ministerial offices.
Key Accountabilities
- Establish and maintain stakeholder relationships through effective communication, negotiation and issues management to engage stakeholders and ensure project deliverables are met
- Undertake research and deliver recommendations to support policy development, strategic planning and decision making
- Monitor and evaluate all aspects of project implementation, including risk and contingency management, benefits realisation, project impact and quality measures, to identify and address issues, assess project progress and effectiveness, and achieve project outcomes
- Manage a project team/s and deliverables, ensuring good project governance
- Provide advice and information to stakeholders on emerging issues and to support project development and delivery
What we’re looking for

- Experience in strategic and innovative project management and an excellent understanding of project methodologies, processes, and procedures
- Managing consultations and negotiations with diverse stakeholders, within agreed timelines, given their varying expectations, viewpoints, and interests
- Achieving project deadlines and milestones to the required standards and within budget, given the need to simultaneously coordinate and deliver multiple projects which are often complex and interconnected
- Developing and providing high-quality advice on policy and strategy matters to address complex government and social challenges
- Contributing to team culture through collaboration, critical analysis and input and continuous learning and knowledge sharing
